Summer is almost here, when in normal times people begin their spring activities, meetings, festivals, outings. This year with the pandemic is a bit different. While we are all being careful, Sierra Club Turtle Coast Group is continuing with its activities in a different way. We will continue to have meetings, but following the advice from national Sierra Club, our local executive committee has moved that our meetings will be virtual, at least through the end of the year. Our conservation team is continuing to monitor and work local environmental issues and calls to action will be announced on our media.

Mission Statement - Our mission is to enjoy, explore and protect the natural places in Florida, to teach others to understand and respect the fragile environment in which we live, and to practice and promote the responsible use of Florida’s ecosystems and resources.
Goals - Our goals as a local Sierra Club are to seek out environmental issues that are within our region and develop strategic plans to resolve those issues.
Activism - Our actions speak louder than words. We participate in local events supporting our partnerships with other enviromental groups. Collectively we can make more of an impact on city and county government policy in support of the environment.
